Loops and nooses...

To bind a loop on a rope doesn't sound difficult, does it..?

However it's not quite that simple, as a noose must fulfil a number of demands.. it must be easily untied, it must be stable and reliable, and it's not allowed to tighten, if pulled at…
The one I'll show you here, fulfils all demands, and is easily bound as well.

1/ Make a circle, with a piece of rope, having the short end on top of the long end.

2/ Pull a loop through the circle you just made. First under then over. ( Use the short end )

3/ Here I've tightened it all up a little, to be able to show the rest…

4/ Pull the short end under the long end

5/ Pull the short end 'back' over the long end,
then under 'it self'.

This is a stable noose, which will neither give in, nor tighten itself during play
With a little practice it's bound in a moment.

-and this is what it looks like, in the real world !
